“Happy Friday”

Each Friday Morning  – 7:30  – 8:30 AM

“Happy Friday!” is one of our ministries of radical hospitality. It is simple really: we set up to serve coffee, hot chocolate, and water on the sidewalk in front of Power Creative on Oak Hill Avenue at Humphrey Street. We have signs that simply say “Happy Friday!” and greet people driving, biking, or walking by each Friday morning. Some are going to or coming from work; others are going to school. This Friday morning ministry started on September 17, 2004, at our old location on South Grand Avenue. We took a break after we moved to our new location but as of May 22, 2026 we are back.  We’ve built relationship with the community, cared for those struggling with life’s challenges, and shared the joys of people’s lives. Sometimes we talk about faith; we always have fun as we share God’s love.

“Happy Friday!” is a fun, wonderful way to begin Friday morning. Come out and join us any Friday when the temperature is above 30 and when it is not raining.
