Service Opportunity – Winter Warming Shelter
This winter, we are partnering with Winter Outreach and Oak Hill Presbyterian Church to help care for those who are on the streets without shelter from the cold. Oak Hill is providing overnight space and we are helping to provide people-power in that space.
At this time, our regular night is Wednesday. (Other churches are covering other nights.) If the temperature is below 20 degrees (or 25 degrees if there is precipitation) the shelter plans to open.
Different shifts are needed:
People can help set up and get ready for supper – between 4:30 and 6:30.
From 7:00 to 11:00 ish people are needed to welcome guests and hang out with people.
Overnight and breakfast help is also needed.
