Thanksgiving Community Pot Luck Dinner – Nov. 21st
“Thanksgiving for Community and Earth” Dinner & Shaw Spaces Celebration
Join us on Saturday, November 21st, as we will gather for our Second Congregation and Shaw Community Thanksgiving Dinner! The joy of a “potluck” Thanksgiving Dinner is that we give thanks for the gifts we ALL bring to the community table. Doors will open at 11:00 am the meal will be served at 11:30 am. The turkey will be provided, please bring a side dish or a dessert to share.
This year’s dinner will have a special focus on our nurture and creation of the community spaces – both natural and human-made spaces – that we share in the Shaw neighborhood. At the dinner Andrew Hurley, History Professor at UMSL will introduce the SHAW Pixstori project to help us explore and name the significance of space in Shaw. Those who attend will have the opportunity to participate in the SHAW project. Come give thanks for Community and the Spaces we share!
