PrideFest – June 23rd and June 24th

This year we will celebrate Pride weekend at not one but two locations – Downtown and along South Grand Avenue.

We will join with other area Disciples of Christ congregations for a joint booth at PrideFestStL.  The St. Louis area Disciples’ theme is “All Means All – representing the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) churches who have joined in God’s work to transform the church into a just and inclusive church that welcomes persons of all gender expressions and sexual identities into the full life and leadership of the church.”  We need volunteers to help staff the booth on either Saturday or Sunday and volunteers to walk in the parade on Sunday.  Sign up on line at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090448a8ad2da7fe3-stlouis

Compton will have our own booth at Tower Grove Pride on Saturday, June 23rd from 11am to 8 pm.  We are excited to return to our neighborhood and be part of Tower Grove Pride this year.  It is a wonderful opportunity for LGBTQ+ people to talk with us about their faith and possibly to find a welcoming church home.  Tower Grove Pride is along South Grand Avenue, just south of Tower Grove Park and the Southeast corner of Tower Grove Park.  The festival will include the Sons of Rest Pavilion, the main outdoor stage, and the Stupp Center, which will host “Backstage at Tower Grove Pride,” a small outdoor amphitheater with all-day entertainment.  See Below for Map of Tower Grove Pride and the location of our booth.  Our booth will be on the grass between Oak Hill Presbyterian Church and Studio Wyrd.
